I’ve been spending my Remembrance Sunday in the Cemetry. Pere Lachaise to be precise, where various famous graves can be found. I went in particular to see Jim Morrison‘s grave and that of Oscar Wilde. It has to be the oddest cemetery I’ve ever visited. Firstly, I’ve never been to a cemetery that has its own online virtual tour and distributes maps for tourists on the entrance. Secondly I haven’t ever been to a cemetery which has so many ludicrously big family mausoleums. Some are significantly bigger than a three bed house in the UK. It was an odd place to visit but I’m glad I went. My main joy was that there were several graves there which I would be very pleased to have copied for my own!
